“As kids, cracker night was up there with Christmas”, wrote Ian Cole for The Mercury in 2017 in a letter to the editor sharing his memories of cracker night in Tasmania in the 1950s and 60s.

2017 was the first year we held cracker night at Glen Derwent for about 300 people.  In 2018 the crowd grew to 500 and in 2019 to our limit of 1000.  2020 saw it cancelled due to COVID-19 but it was back for 2021 and is coming up again in 2022.
