Glen Derwent Tea Rooms are open 7 days a week, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
We offer traditional Devonshire teas with freshly baked scones, and whipped Tasmanian cream, served with our own raspberry and black currant jams made from Derwent Valley berries. We bake our scones on demand so they are as fresh as possible, so although no booking is necessary for Devonshire teas, please let us know if you are bringing a large group or have any special dietary needs so we can have your scones ready.
Summer seating is available in the conservatory, verandas and lawns overlooking the croquet lawn. When it cools down, tables are available in front of the fire in the conservatory, drawing room or dining room.
We also serve high teas and lunches, including ploughmans’ lunches using local cheeses or home-made soups, and freshly baked savory beer or cider scones. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan alternatives are available but please let us know when booking. Booking with 24 hours notice is required.
